Grants of up to $50,000 and in-kind support to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for projects that promote health equity. Applicants are required to submit an LOI prior to a full grant application. Funding is intended for a range of activities that increase accessibility to wellness programs.

Grant recipients help advance equity in wellbeing in various ways, including and not limited to:

  • Providing inclusive, culturally intelligent programs and services to their communities
  • Advocating for systemic change
  • Removing barriers to accessing wellbeing practices, such as creating financial accessibility
  • Building community and connection

Lululemon is also expanding the scope of the Here to Be grant program to provide resources to organizations focused on improving wellbeing outcomes for their communities through practices of movement, mindfulness, and/or connection.

Estimated Size of Grant:

This year, organizations can apply for general operating support up to $50,000 USD, or up to 40% of their operating budget.

Term of Contract:

LOIs are only accepted for single-year programs.
All proposals and grant funds should fit within a 12-month period (November 1, 2022 to October 31, 2023).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Lululemon welcomes funding requests from organizations that meet the following requirements:
- Must be a registered non-profit or charity, or fiscally sponsored by one
- Must be operating in Australia, Canada, China Mainland, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Ireland, Japan, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Mexico, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, UK, and/or USA
- Actively creating access to movement, mindfulness, and/or connection programming
- Actively serving communities that are most impacted by systemic inequity due to dimensions of their identity and lived experiences
- Grassroots, community-led or driven organization with an annual budget of less than $1,500,000 USD preferred

Not funded:
- Individuals, groups with religious or political affiliations, or third-party fundraising groups
- One-time events, retreats, workshops, or sporting events
- Community clinics or health services that accept direct payment for services in any form (insurance, government, etc.)
- Incentives for government officials
- Multi-year programs
- Social ventures or impact minded businesses
- Budget for lululemon product
​​​​​​​- Interest-bearing accounts, endowments, real estate, or any other similar capital assets
- Equipment or other assets with a combined value of $5,000 USD or more (which could be a single or multiple items)

Pre-proposal Conference:

If you still have questions, please join lululemon as they host a series of open office hours. They will start by sharing the purpose of the Here to Be grant program and then open for Q&A with attendees. Two sessions will be held to accommodate different time zones, and both sessions will be conducted in English only.

To support an equitable experience, lululemon will not be offering coaching on individual applications.

- May 3 to May 30 at 5pm Pacific Time (PT): Organizations submit a Letter of Intent to be considered for funding
- By June 28: Organizations receive email notification of Letter of Intent status
- June 28 to July 18: Organizations that are eligible submit a formal application
- By September 8: Organizations receive email notification of funding decision
- By November 1: Organizations that are selected receive funds*
