Grants to Nevada residents in eligible locations to address housing insecurity during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. The purpose of this program is to help low-income residents who are at risk of homelessness or eviction due Coronavirus-related loss of income. The program pays up to three months of rent/mortgage in order to prevent eviction and remain safely housed. Applicants must be a city of Las Vegas resident and reside in a property located within the city of Las Vegas.

Assistance will be provided for up to three months.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to apply and only one (1) pre-application per household will be accepted.

- Must have a gross annual household income that is at or below the maximum income limits. The chart on the URL for Full Text below shows the maximum income limits currently in effect for a household of up to eight members in the city of Las Vegas.
- Must be a city of Las Vegas resident and reside in a property located within the city of Las Vegas.
- Must have a delinquency notice from landlord or mortgage company.
- Documentation of financial hardship due to COVID-19, i.e., loss of income, reduced hours, layoffs, etc.
- Have a lack of assets and savings to pay rent/mortgage.
- Documentation of future financial management.
- Residency status will NOT affect your eligibility for assistance
- Anyone currently receiving a subsidy from another rental assistance program or living in public housing is ineligible.

Pre-Application Information:

The pre-application will be accepted until July 31, 2020 or until funds are exhausted.

Assistance will be paid directly to the landlord or mortgage company on behalf of eligible program participants. Assistance is contingent on the availability of CARES Act grant funding.
