Grants of up to $4,000 to Nevada small businesses in eligible locations to help with reopening during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Funding is intended for expenses related to personal protective equipment, facility retrofit for health and safety measures, or other expenses reasonably required to prepare the business for reopening or expanded reopening. Eligible businesses are located within the city limits of Las Vegas.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, a business must meet the following requirements:
- Business must have an active business license with the City of Las Vegas and the original license issuance date must have occurred on or before March 11, 2020.
- Businesses must employ no less than three and no more than twenty-five full-time equivalent (FTE) employees as of 3/11/2020.
- Business must have been either required to close or have experienced significant economic hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Businesses must not have engaged or currently be engaged in any illegal activity per local, State, or Federal laws or regulations. In all instances, Federal laws and regulations taking precedence over local or State laws or regulations.
- Business must commit to uphold all of the recommendations and/or comply with any mandates for re-opening promulgated by the State of Nevada and the Southern Nevada Health District.

A required criterion is that your business address is within the city of Las Vegas jurisdiction. If you are unsure, please check before applying. Businesses outside of the city of Las Vegas are not eligible under this grant. Check here:

This grant is not intended to duplicate the Payroll Protection Program and therefore may not be used for payroll, rent, utilities or such expenses.

Business owners will be required to sign an affidavit. Submissions will not be considered without it.

Businesses who previously were awarded grant monies during the first round are not eligible to apply.

Businesses that are NOT eligible to request or receive Grant funds are:
- Business whose principal place of business location is not within the City’s jurisdiction limits;
- Marijuana (cannabis) related businesses.

Pre-Application Information:

New applications will be accepted July 20 – July 31, 2020, or until sufficient applications have been received. Grant funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are awarded at the sole discretion of the city of Las Vegas.

Since many businesses applied during the first grant program, priority will be given to reviewing those applications for eligibility. There is no need to re-apply.
