Description:

Fellowships of $4,000 to USA, Canada, and international advanced undergraduate and medical students for summer research projects related to Parkinson's disease. Funding may be used to subsidize the cost of research credits, housing, and living expenses. Fellowships are intended to cultivate students' interest in ending, solving, and treating Parkinson's disease and providing the tools they need to transition into leaders in the field.

Fellows must work under the close supervision of a sponsor who is an expert in the Parkinson's community and oversees the project.

Upon completion of the project, fellows are invited to apply for up to $1,000 in travel funds to attend a related scientific conference to present their research.

The Parkinson's Foundation judges applications based on the feasibility of the applicant's project, the applicant's background and the appropriateness of the mentor.
