Grants to Nevada and Israel nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for organizational support, ongoing projects, and events to benefit the Jewish community. Funding is intended for programs that relate to Jewish continuity and vibrancy, caring for the vulnerable, or Israel and global impact. Eligible applicants may serve the Jewish community in the State of Nevada, in Ramat HaNegev in Israel, and in select global Jewish communities.

Estimated Size of Grant:

- Project Grants will range from $3,000 to $20,000.
- Event Grants will range from $1,500 to $7,500.
- Organizational grants will range from $10,000-$25,000.

Term of Contract:

2022 Funding (January 1, 2022-December 31, 2022)

All projects, events, and grant expenses for the 2022 Community Grant Round must be completed by 12/31/22.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants include nonprofits with tax-exempt status.

Nonprofits that have current Federation grants must be in compliance with the terms of those awards to be considered.

Organizations with a budget of $1 million+ must submit most recent annual audit if applying for a grant(s) totaling $10,001+. The audit must be no older than 3 years.

Please be advised that all allocations requested for your project must be used for the specific expenses requested unless otherwise stated in an award contract. Jewish Nevada will not be able not cover 100 percent of the total event or project cost. Non-local travel and capital projects, including improvements, renovations, additions or any other “bricks and mortar” types of projects are not eligible for funding. JN funds may not be used to fund any type of fundraising project or solicitation event.

Grant payments may be made in quarterly installments, depending on the budget and timeline of the project. The final installment will be paid upon receipt and final review of the event or project report and financial documents. Failure to complete reporting may result in Jewish Nevada requesting that the entire amount of the allocation be returned to the Federation and ineligibility for future grant opportunities.

Expectations of Grantees:
1. Jewish Nevada is invited to give a presentation to grantee Board of Directors by November 2022.
2. Volunteer support from grantee organizations in campaign related activities, including Super Sunday in November 2022
3. Grantee agrees to help promote and engage its organization’s members to support and contribute to Jewish Nevada's Annual Campaign.
4. Grantee promotes its events and program's on a regular basis in Jewish Nevada's Shalom Nevada monthly newsletter and submit events to be listed in the community calendar.
