Award to a USA nonprofit organization for collaborating on a project that has made a significant impact in promoting each organization's cause and society as a whole. Funding is intended to recognize contributions that have been made to society by partnerships facilitated by nonprofit organizations with public, private, and other social sector organizations.

The Mutual of America Community Partnership Award recognizes outstanding nonprofit organizations in the United States that have shown exemplary leadership by facilitating partnerships with public, private or social sector leaders and working together with them as equal partners, not as donors and recipients, to build a cohesive community that serves as a model for collaborating with others for the greater good.

Each award recipient must demonstrate the difference the partnership has made, show the ability of the partnership to be replicated and to stimulate new ideas in addressing social issues, as well as illustrate the partnership's commitment to advancing the mission and principles of the organization.

Each year, the Mutual of America Foundation sponsors a national competition in which hundreds of organizations demonstrate the value of their partnership to the communities they serve, their ability to be replicated by others and their capacity to stimulate new approaches to addressing significant social issues.

This year, an independent committee will select five organizations for a Community Partnership Award. The Thomas J. Moran Award will be presented to the national award-winning partnership, which will receive $100,000 and a documentary video of their program. The video serves as a valuable tool in the partnership’s efforts to expand public awareness of their crucial work and helps them attract additional partners and new sponsors.
