Grant Description
Grants of up to $5,000 to Nevada neighborhood associations, business associations, and homeowners associations in eligible locations to enhance local neighborhoods. Applicants must submit a preliminary application prior to submitting a full proposal. Eligible applicants must be located within the city of Las Vegas and must be registered with the city of Las Vegas My Neighborhoods Program.

The Neighborhood Partners Fund (NPF) is open to neighborhood associations from all Wards. NPF provides funding opportunities for residents to generate resolutions to critical neighborhood issues while creating a link between communities and city government. 

The NPF program has funded many projects that improve the neighborhoods. Examples of qualifying projects include, but are not limited, to the list below:

  • Cultural and community events (e.g. block parties, community workshops)
  • Newsletters to inform residents about important issues and upcoming events
  • Trash and debris cleanup (e.g. dumpster rentals, bags, trash pickers)
  • Murals
  • Materials to clean up graffiti
  • Sustainability projects (e.g. LED light conversions, drought tolerant trees, and shrubs in HOA common areas)
  • Safety improvement projects (e.g. security lighting or cameras)
  • Back-to-school backpacks and supplies
  • After-school enrichment activities for children and youth
  • Neighborhood signs, including neighborhood watch signs

Additional Eligibility Criteria
The Neighborhood Partners Fund grant program is open to registered neighborhood, homeowners and business associations in all city of Las Vegas Wards.

Neighborhood associations, homeowners associations or business associations, whose primary purpose is to improve the quality of life in their designated areas, must:
- Be located within the city of Las Vegas limits.
- Be registered with the city of Las Vegas My Neighborhoods Program (projects need to be implemented within the registered neighborhood's boundaries).
- Have a majority of the association's members living or operating businesses in the city of Las Vegas.
- Demonstrate neighborhood support for the proposed project/program.

Ineligible
NPF Funding May Not Be Used For:
- Direct subsidy of existing services by commoninterest community associations.
- Direct subsidy of care for the medically indigent.
- Projects identified with political parties of any kind.
- Projects proposed by a for-profit association.
- Associations that practice discrimination of any kind.
- General contributions to capital campaigns.
- Operating deficits or retirement of debt.
- Endowment programs
- Personal home improvement projects.
- Commercial housing or construction projects.
- Overhead costs or salary wages.
- Gift cards.

An association may apply for up to $5,000, which must be matched by the neighborhood. At least 25 percent of the match must come from volunteer labor, valued at $29.95 per hour. As much as 75 percent of the neighborhood’s match can be from cash and/or donated supplies, equipment, or professional services.

Term of Contract
Projects must completed within a seven-month period or as stated in the NPF agreement.
