A Blade of Grass (ABOG)

Fellowships of $20,000 to USA independent artists and arts collectives for collaborative opportunities to promote art projects that encourage social engagement. Funding is intended to support artists in creating structures, experiences, and exchanges that inspire audiences, highlight seemingly intractable social problems, and energize people to participate in and sustain long-term social change work.
A Blade of Grass (ABOG) is committed to providing relatively unrestricted funding that incorporates a collaborative research component. Field research conducted by ABOG’s Director of Field Research replaces grant reporting written by the artist, and is grounded in the goals and areas of inquiry defined by the artist and the perspective of project participants.

One ABOG Grass-SPArt Fellowship in Los Angeles, and and least one ABOG Fellowship for POC Emerging Artists in NYC
Artists receive $20,000 in minimally restricted support.
The POC Emerging Artist Fellowship period will be 18 months instead of 12.
